The Ghost of Woodgate Valley

It all started one moonlit night. I was walking though
Woodgate Valley to get home after a long day at school. It was nine o’clock.
As I was walking, I heard strange sounds coming from behind
some tree. My heart was beating furiously. I thought it was a man with a knife.
But curiosity took the better of me.
I noticed a white figure behind the trees, as I got closer.
It was a man standing and looking down to the ground. The clothing that he wore
was dated back to the Tudor times.
He lifted his head up when he heard me coming closer and I
saw that he had no eyes, but blood pouring from his eye sockets. His teeth were
sharp and pointed as he smiled at me.
Underneath the man was a young woman with her throat ripped
open. I ran all the way to the police station and told them what I had
witnessed. They went to where I had seen the man and the dead woman. When they
returned, they told me that there was nothing there. One policeman though, had
recognized what I saw.
He told me that every ten years during a full moon on a
winter’s night, a man with no eyes and blood for tears would rip a young
woman’s throat with his razor sharp teeth. Then he and the body would vanish
out of nowhere and leave no evidence behind.
